The morning light coming through my window finally got the better of me as I rolled over for the fifth time. I looked at my alarm clock, three minutes before it was set to go off. Ugh, I hate it when that happens. My muscles yelled at me silently as I sat up and stretched. The shitty twin bed still gave me issues despite how thick I am.
I was hungry. My fridge held no real promise of a good breakfast, so I threw on my heavy boots to set out to the nearest Denny’s. As I finished tying them I looked at my closet at my leather jacket. It was my pride and joy, but the August weather was frighteningly warm, even for me. The ch
“Alright listen everyone, Listen please! It has been an interesting year to say the least,” the instructor said, “ and you only have a few days left, but you do not want to flake on that homework. These last few assignments are the most important to your future career. Do them, and I will see you at your graduation next week. Class dismissed.”
“Ugh,” Terry said getting up from his desk
“What's the matter?” Rachel asked, “Your usually more... chipper.”
“I need to get a job. And I hate the homework we're doing.”
“Well, we only have a week left. You'll pull throug
Commander Rooster looked out the window as the interference from entering the atmosphere finally cleared. The planet below was layered with sheets of snow and ice, with only jagged rocks breaking through the miles of frozen wasteland. Planet Plisar has been registered as desolate since the Giant’s War. No human had ever set foot on it since the evacuation away from the Lizerd, and even before then Rooster could never figure out why they fought on the planet in the first place. It was one of the biggest losses both on the planet and its rim for the Race.
“Time to get your gear system’s checked.” Airman Tigress said ove
A gust of wind came up as he entered the depths of hell step by step. He took a deep breath and then coughed, it was hot and tasted of sulfur. He took a drink of water, then spit it out immediately, the water was nearly boiling hot. He clenched his teeth and took another drink, swished it to try and cool the water, then swallowed, it burned all the way down. It did nothing to quench his thirst. He still kept it near him, it was the last of his water supply. Wind came up from the orange light as he continued to descend the stairs. The air dried his eyes, he lifted his shield to block his eyes from the heat, his eyes watered. "Damn." He mumbled
I shifted the weight of the bag over my other shoulder and then pressed on deeper into the woods. The moon rose into the sky and the stars lit up the forest around me. The soft light gave the forest a calm look, but the dangers quickly awoke within the trees. I thought about lighting a torch to continue with some light, but thought better of it. Bringing more attention to myself than necessary seemed foolhardy.
Creatures of the night started to wake and prowl around me. Unlike the day animals, these ones did not make much noise. There were a few growls here and there, but the only other sound these creatures made were just the slight
Beside me stand other warriors. Weapons drawn- axes, swords, bows- we stand upon the last bridge between civilization and obliteration. Creatures of all finally standing together on this one bridge. We are not soldiers, the soldiers left their post a long time ago, when peace was a song and war was a myth.
We are volunteers, my brothers, protectors of life and a sign of what our nations should be. The monsters from the north reign down the mountain, each a giant, each with one thing on their mind, to kill.
Here they come.
We are no longer apart of life; we are warriors of it. Our life is no longer a luxury, but a necessity, our lives mean
You have the gun
Squeeze the trigger
Force the smile
Force the snicker
Release the wrath
with your anger
Unleash the bullets
from their chamber
Watch your veins
and Blood pressure rise
As you watch
these poor men die
Both guilty and free
It does not matter
Watch their dreams
hit and shatter
With one last shot
there's one destination
Bring the gun close
and end this frustration
This bullets for you
it was always intended
Here I come Satan
